Digithurst's UK Exhibitions

Our first exhibition, a last minute space at the PCUser show for a giveaway price. The tables are from our office with cabling hidden by cloth covered plywood. The logo too was handmade; cut from a piece of polystyrene packaging.

Yes we really were as bored as we looked. A heatwave and we were in Olympia with a stand that was much like the previous year's only bigger. Well positioned to catch people on the way to the toilet. Not all bad though because while I was loading the equipment into the van on the last day Stephen landed an order for £180,000.

Dave Thorpe changed the way our stands were managed at exhibitions; just little things the rest of us usually forgot to do, like talking to people and asking them for business cards.

This stand included a simulated shop front built by my father. Bernt, who was exhibiting Epoc's paper testing system on the stand, is demonstrating our through the glass EPOS system. The video hairstyling system is on show inside the shop. On the conventional part of the stand Dave Thorpe and Stephen are demonstrating multimedia and scientific imaging equipment.
